There are alternate fuel options that have been around for over 25 years one of which is ethanol fuel. It is produced by grains such as corn, wheat, and barley. This method has been implemented in Brazil. Has this method been implemented in other South American countries as well? America is rich in agriculture. It has been known to feed the world. The farmers are paid not to overproduce. What happens when you have new markets for agricultural products that would go hand in hand with the automobile industry? A booming economy?! Fuel emissions would be a lot less toxic. There would be no drilling on land or in the sea so as not to harm the environment or endanger marine life. Ethanol fuel looks to be environmentally friendly, economical, and financially invigorating. CBS aired a report on some people in Tennessee using a still to produce ethanol for fuel but at the same time they said the government told them to put poison into their ethanol Well now, isn’t that defeating the purpose? No one needs to breathe in poisons when it is not necessary. The government always gets it wrong. They should be putting in ethanol pumps at the gas stations. People do not need a still in their homes. Who are they working for? Al Gore makes documentaries about global warming. Well, putting poison into ethanol is just going to hurt the environment more. He hasn’t come up with any great solutions but poisoning the environment with lethal substances is not going to help any cause or better anyone’s living conditions. It is not just economics. Al Gore and Richard Branson of Virgin Air made a $25 million offer to anyone who will clean up the atmosphere and research alternate fuel. They already have the ethanol fuel for the cars. It is just a matter of time to research it further for planes. The planes industry is an extension of the car industry. So to whom do they want to give the money? America should not be the last to enter the new age of ethanol fuel without any toxins. Another question would be where are the South Americans getting the ethanol cars. Are any of the ethanol cars produced by GM or other U.S. car companies? Who did not want this country to advance in technology? How much is the U.S. lagging behind? Which politicians want to regress the U.S. to the Dark Ages? What kind of policies would that promote? What would be their agenda? If you would like your opinions to be known in Washington you might want to call or write to the White House or your senators.
Another approach would be to use garbage as an energy source. The Johnson company advertises that they already use garbage to power their plant. That means the government already has the plans and technology to implement such a power source. No reason to deplete the planet of its resources or bankrupt people.
